Chauffeured Rental – Terms & Conditions

Rental Period
• Chauffeured rentals cover 12 hours per day, ending at 8:30 PM.
• If your rental begins in the afternoon (around 12 PM), the service will still conclude at 8:30 PM that same day.

2. Overtime Charges

 Should your trip extend beyond 8:30 PM, overtime charges will apply:

 8:30 PM – 11:00 PM → Half-day rate

 After 11:00 PM → Full-day rate

 

3. Driver’s Allowance

 The rental fee already includes the driver’s allowance for vehicles that come with a chauffeur.

 

4. Accommodation (for trips outside Accra)

 For multi-day trips outside Accra, the driver will require accommodation. You may either:

 Provide suitable accommodation, or

 Request that we add the cost of accommodation to your booking.

 

5. Fuel Policy

 Rental fees do not include fuel.

 Clients are kindly responsible for fueling the car throughout the rental period.

 

6. Security Deposit

 A refundable security deposit is required for every booking:

 25% of the total rental amount will be held as a deposit.

 For rentals under GHS 2,000, a flat deposit of GHS 500 applies.

 This deposit is held against minor issues or unforeseen costs and will be fully refunded once the vehicle is returned in good condition and all terms are met.

 

7. Payment Terms

 Full payment is kindly required before the rental commences.

 Payments may be made via Mobile Money, Bank Transfer, or Paystack.

 

8. No Cash Payments

 For your security, we do not accept cash for rentals.

 Please avoid making any direct payments to drivers (except for tips).

 If any payment is requested, kindly confirm with your sales agent before proceeding.

 

9. Cancellation Policy

 Bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before the rental start time will incur a charge equal to one full day’s rental.

 For cancellations made earlier than 24 hours, the same one-day rental charge applies.

 

10. Use of Vehicle

 Vehicles may only be used within the destinations agreed upon with your sales agent.

 If you need to adjust your travel route, please inform us in advance so your booking can be updated.

 

11. Rental Extensions

 If you wish to extend your rental, please contact Wopecar at least 24 hours before your current booking ends.

 Once we issue the extension invoice, payment must be made promptly to secure the additional days.

 

 Self-Drive Rental – Terms & Conditions

1. Minimum Booking Duration

 Cars must be rented for at least 3 days 

2. Rental Rates & Destinations

 Rental prices are based on your destination.

 Please do not drive the car to destinations you have not booked and paid for. Doing so will attract a penalty charges

3. Rental Period

 Standard rentals last 24 hours per day.

 For luxury vehicles (e.g., Prado, Pajero), rentals cover 12 hours per day.

4. Fuel Policy

 Rental fees do not include fuel.

 

 Clients are kindly responsible for fueling the car throughout the rental period.

5. Security Deposit

 A refundable security deposit is required for every booking:

 25% of the total rental cost for rentals of GHS 2,000 or more.

 GHS 500 flat deposit for rentals below GHS 2,000.

 The deposit will be refunded after inspection if all terms are met and the vehicle is returned in good condition.

6. Delivery 

 Delivery and collection cost GHS 200 (covers both drop-off and pick-up).

 Client pick-ups at our location are not available.

7. Delivery Days

 Vehicles are delivered and collected Monday to Saturday only.

8. Payment Terms

 Full payment is required before delivery.

• Accepted payment methods: Mobile Money, Bank Transfer, or Card Payment.

 Cash payments are not accepted.

 Please note: Until payment is received, the car remains available to other clients.

9. Battery Charging Policy (for EVs)

 Rental rates do not include battery charging costs.

 The battery must never fall below 30% during the rental.

 For city driving: Charge to a maximum of 80% (charging to 100% frequently will damage the battery).

 For long-distance driving: Charging up to 100% is allowed.

10. Driver’s License

 Only the person(s) who submitted a valid driver’s license to Wopecar may drive the car.

 Allowing an unregistered driver to operate the car is strictly prohibited and considered a breach of agreement.

11. Vehicle Condition

 Vehicles must be returned in the same clean and physical condition they were delivered in.

 This includes washing and ensuring the same fuel level.

 Extra charges will apply if the car is returned dirty, damaged, or with fuel short.

12. Damages & Fines

 In the event of damage, mechanical issues, or police fines, please contact Wopecar customer support before taking any action.

 Attempting to repair or pay for issues without our approval may result in extra costs or loss of deposit.

13. Rental Extensions

 To extend your rental, please contact Wopecar at least 24 hours before your booking ends.

 Once the extension invoice is issued, kindly pay immediately to confirm your extra days.

14. Cancellation Policy

 Cancelling less than 24 hours before your booking will incur a fee equal to half of the daily rental rate.

15. Refunds

• Security deposits are refunded within 1–3 business days after vehicle inspection.

 Any deductions (for damages, cleaning, or fuel shortage) will be clearly explained before refund.

Do I have to pay any extra fee for the driver?
Rates include driver’s allowance
What is your policy on driver’s accommodation when rental is outside Accra and more than 1 day?
Where chauffeured ride is more than a day outside Accra, accommodation will be required. Clients may choose to provide driver accommodation or have the accommodation cost added to the quoted rate
How many hours per day rental?
All chauffeured rides rentals are calculated 12 hours per day; drivers close latest by 9pm regardless of start time.
What is your policy on exceeding the rental period?
Rentals that exceed 8pm attract an overtime fee. Half the day’s rate for rentals that exceed 8pm and a full day extension rate on those that exceed 11pm.
Are fuel rates included in the rental amount?
Fuel rates are exclusive of rental amount.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Clients pay a cancellation fee when a car is booked and do not go through with the booking. Fees are dependent on the nature of the booking.
Do I have to make full payment before the car is delivered?
Full payment is required before the car is delivered. NO CASH PAYMENT is allowed. All payment should be made by TRANSFER through Mobile Money , Bank Transfer or Pay stack.

Cancellation Policy

Clients will incur a cancellation fee of at least GHC 200 if a car is booked and canceled less than 48 hours before booking date.
